Parent Seminar: "Mathematical Thinking in the Early Years"

There is evidence from all sides about the importance of early math learning for later success in school and beyond, but true mathematical thinking comes through in ways you might not expect. Especially for children, math is most valuable as a way to understand the real world. Join Emma and Todd to learn how we see mathematical thinking and exploration every day in children's play and how we mathematize these important play experiences in the classroom. You'll also have a chance to think about how to recognize and facilitate authentic math experiences at home in an appropriate—and fun!—way.
