"Let's Imagine..." Embracing Imagination as the Heart of Education

“Imagination is the source of every form of human achievement. And it’s the one thing that I believe we are systematically jeopardizing in the way we educate our children and ourselves.” – Sir Ken Robinson

This 3-day session explores the importance of imagination in young children’s lives and educational journeys. Through activities, presentations, classroom observation, and discussions, participants will consider the many ways in which children utilize imagination for making sense of the world and envisioning new possibilities. Not only will the sessions highlight how the classroom environment can strengthen imagination, but also the critical role it plays in a range of human thought, including storytelling and narrative, perspective-taking, art, scientific inquiry, and more.
