Educator Seminar: "Three Lenses on Teacher-Child Interaction: A Video Analysis Workshop"

Again and again throughout the day, early childhood educators make choices about how to best support children’s play. Should I get involved? What do I say or ask? The answers to such questions vary, depending on how you view the teacher’s role in play. This workshop highlights three research perspectives on how teachers can best support children’s play: Improvisation, the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), and Good Fit Interactions. Participants will use these views as lenses to examine video of teachers supporting children during play.
