Educator Seminar: “Nature Connection: Valuing young children’s authentic experiences with the natural world”

Date

Location
Hosted online via Zoom.

This is session TWO of the 2021 Educator Summer Series:

This session offers the opportunity to explore the importance of nature connection in young children’s experiences. What are the conditions that elicit children’s authentic encounters with nature? How can observation and reflection be used as tools both for recognizing opportunities for nature connection and also for appreciating children’s engagement in the natural world? How does nature contribute to children’s holistic development? There is much to be learned from children when their unhurried experience is valued. Join Bing Teacher Sadie Parrinello as she explores answers to these questions and more through this in-depth look into nature connection in the early years.

This event will be hosted via Zoom. A link will be made available to attendees in the days before the event. For confidentiality reasons, there will not be a recording of the sessions made available after the seminar. Please plan on attending live. Refunds available until Friday, July 2nd at 5pm. Certificate of attendance provided with session.
