Coffee Talk: "Looking at the Outdoor Space Through a Different Lens"

Although the outdoor space has always been important the Bing environment, during this year of COVID-19 teachers have placed particular focus on the outdoors as a space for children that is both safe and engaging. In looking at the outdoor space through a difference lens, the West PM team have unearthed important lessons about children and the natural space. In this talk, they will share about the therapeutic effects of the outdoors on children, children’s “natural” intelligence, integrating books and stories into the outdoor space, nature’s loose parts, and the benefits of the outdoor environment as teacher during a pandemic.
