Seminars are designed to provide professional development for educators. Typically offered on evenings or weekend mornings, these seminars offer learning experiences and skills for working with young children or adults in the field. Participants collaborate on strategies for best practice, in turn strengthening our early childhood community.
The Summer Session for Educators is a unique professional development opportunity provided by The Kordestani Family Program for Parents and Educators at Stanford University. Participants will gain insights and develop skills for working with young children and/or teacher training. The process focuses on becoming immersed in an intensive onsite program at the laboratory school housed on the Stanford University campus. It will include hands-on experiences, observations, presentations, discussions and resources to ensure an engaging learning experience for professional development. Our carefully designed buildings and spacious grounds, constructed to meet the needs of young children, are the perfect setting for professional learning, reflection and rejuvenation.
Note: Due to Bing Nursery School being closed for renovations during the summer of 2020, we will not be offering a 2020 Summer Educator Session.
On occasion, Bing Nursery School hosts groups of educators for tours, workshops and/or study sessions specific to the needs and interests of the organization.
