Coffee Talk: "Math Development: Playful ways young children gain number sense"

There is evidence from all sides about the importance of early math learning for later success in school and beyond, but true mathematical thinking comes through in ways you might not expect. Especially for children, math is most valuable as a way to understand the real world, and your expert Bing teachers will introduce how we see it every day in children's play - from sensory play in the twos class to grand collaborations amond 5-year-olds. You'll also have a chance to think about how to recognize and facilitate authentic math experiences at home in an appropriate—and fun!—way.
