Coffee Talk: "Early Language Development in Monolingual and Bilingual Communicators"
860 Escondido Rd.
Stanford, CA 94305
This coffee talk will explore how young children develop language in their early years and what families can do to support language growth through everyday routines and play. We will also discuss how bilingualism influences language development, and explore some common questions parents have about raising bilingual children. Finally parents will learn how to identify signs of a speech and language delay and when seeking additional support may be helpful.
Hosted by Salomi Daftary who is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Spring Speech Therapy in Belmont. Salomi and her team of SLPs work with children from toddlerhood through adolescence, partnering closely with families and educators to support strong communication foundations across home and school environments.
Coffee Talks are open to the adults of the currently enrolled families at Bing.
